Sundries      A number of separate sundry files are maintained that do not, at the moment, readily lend themselves to easy conversion to being “web friendly”.

For reasons of copyright, licence or sheer size certain items in the archive will not be made available on this site. This is particularly relevant for the Data records and Maps. If you would like further details on these please contact

1941

Courtesy DHC* National Farm Survey
The National farm survey was conducted in 1941 by the government to assess the state of agriculture in the country. These maps show that within the village there were at least 16 different farmers occupying the land.

1941

Courtesy DHC* National Farm Survey
The surveyor was instructed to colour all the holdings of individual farmers in one colour. The maps may be quite rare as the were not generally released and indeed the data for each parish is still not generally available.
