Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Chisel Barn is a recent conversion designed and fitted to the highest standards.
The barn consists of two, light and airy properties with a large double height kitchen & living space and offer luxury accommodation. The properties have retained original features including exposed beams, but offer contemporary levels of comfort including double glazing and underfloor heating. Together they sleep ten people – four in Fox Ditch, six in Whites Ground.
The barns were the base for a large and successful dairy enterprise and remain part of a working farm, with the adjoining buildings still actively being used for stock.
The properties are set in stunning countryside and offer far reaching views over the River Stour valley, the dairy pastures of the Blackmore Vale and the churches of Shillingstone and Child Okeford to the south and west, and the Iron Age forts of Hambledon Hill to the north and Hod Hill to the east.”

Our reputation for good food and customer care is what drives us to maintain the high standard we set. Cosy log fires, a warm rustic atmosphere and traditional values greet our guests every time they visit. Come and experience a proper Dorset pub that takes time to cater for all the little things that make that special difference.
Upstairs you will find four En-suite Bed and Breakfast rooms which have been affectionately brought to life. Outside you can take in the air with our ‘Alfresco’ seating and dining area, following on to a large, secluded beer garden.
