Welcome to the Child Okeford WI

The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to our communities.

We are a lively group with growing membership from within the village and from our neighbouring villages including Shroton, Shilllingstone, Ashmore, Iwerne Steepleton and Okeford Fitzpaine .

Our activities are non-party political, non-denominational and include support for local as well as national events. They include informative talks and activities on a wide variety of subjects, national concerns and issues, in addition to craft and cookery demonstrations.

In addition, we also have a Walking Netball Group & a Craft Group.

We enjoy taking part in all village activities and are becoming known for our fashionable and appropriate head-wear for these events.
