Child Okeford Women’s Institute
Welcome to the Child Okeford WI
The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to our communities.
We are a lively group with growing membership from within the village and from our neighbouring villages including Shroton, Shilllingstone, Ashmore, Iwerne Steepleton and Okeford Fitzpaine .
Our activities are non-party political, non-denominational and include support for local as well as national events. They include informative talks and activities on a wide variety of subjects, national concerns and issues, in addition to craft and cookery demonstrations.
We enjoy taking part in village activities and are becoming known for our fashionable and appropriate head-wear for these events.
Visitors to our meetings are most welcome and the fee is £3.50
The annual subscription is £41 per annum that includes membership of our local institute, Dorset County Federation, National Federation and the magazine.
