Child Okeford – Village website

Child Okeford is a picturesque village nestled amongst the captivating landscape of the Blackmore Vale in the heart of the North Dorset countryside. Hambledon Hill lies to the east , the River Stour to the west and the village is in easy reach of the market towns of Shaftesbury, Blandford and Sturminster Newton. Although we are a rural community there are lots of events going on and the village is home to a thriving artistic community.

On the pages of this website we have information on what’s on, where to stay, the village hall, community centre ,our local businesses, local artists, the numerous clubs and societies within the village and much, much more.

New Website for the Parish Council

This website has been provided, in one form or another, by the Child Okeford Parish Council for many years. As well as acting as a repository for information about the village it was also the home for all Parish Council documents, agendas, meeting notices etc. Recent recommendations have meant that the council now has to have it’s own dedicated website which can be found at https://www.childokeford-pc.gov.uk/. To avoid confusion and the risk of out of date information being retained the Parish Council section of this website has been removed.

The Parish Council has indicated that it will continue to provide this website for the benefit of villagers and those interested in the village.

The email address for the Clerk to the Council has also changed and is now [email protected] .

This company is again contacting businesses asking them to renew their ‘listing’ on the above website.PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THIS COMPANY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHILD OKEFORD VILLAGE WEBSITE which is provided by Child Okeford Parish Council.

Businesses and clubs based within the village are entitled to have an entry on this website and we make no charge for doing so. Pay them or not for an entry on their website – that is up to you – but they are not linked with the parish council or village website in anyway.
