Community Centre
The Community Centre is run by a voluntary committee of village residents, on behalf of the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field, Child Okeford, Charitable Trust. Bookings for the Community Centre or the Playing Field can be made throughout the year by contact the booking secretary [details below]. The Community Centre is especially suitable for children’s parties and activities, due it’s situation within the large playing field and the easy access to the children’s play area.
How much does it cost to hire it? Correct as at 22/08/23
- 2 hour hire – £15
- 4 hour hire – £30
- All Day hire – £50
- Wedding Receptions – £100
- Football Training (pitch only) £10
- Football match (including access to the Community Centre and Showers) £27
What facilities do we have?
Function Room, 2 Changing Rooms and Showers, Referee’s Changing Room and Shower, Fully fitted kitchen including crockery and cutlery, Toilets, Disabled Toilet, Baby changing area, Children’s Play Area, Football Pitch.
Licensing Laws
We are not licensed for the sale of alcohol, so if you wish to sell alcoholic drinks at your event, you will be responsible for obtaining and paying for your own casual drinks licence.

Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field
The Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field (formerly the Recreation Ground) consists of the village Playing Fields and Community Centre. This large open space has picnic benches, a children’s play area, a small basket ball square, and a football pitch.
Usage of the Playing Fields is free outside of official sports matches and large events. Picnics, walks, healthy exercise, family fun and meeting up with friends are all good reasons to use this open space.
To use the grounds for a large event, sports event or substantial occasion you must book and pay a small fee, please contact us on the email below for more information.
