Walking Group
We are an informal group of individuals from the village and surrounding area united by our love of walking in the beautiful Dorset countryside. The walks are social events allowing us to enjoy good company and conversation as we appreciate the scenery, points of interest and get some exercise.
We take it in turns to plan and lead a walk during the year. Walks are generally between 3 to 5 miles long and a brief description of the next one appears in The Hill each month. Walks are chosen to suit the time of year, avoiding as much mud as possible in the winter and then benefitting from the flowers in the spring and summer. An option for refreshments during or after the walk is often available.
We meet outside the village hall at 9.30am on the second Thursday of each month and share cars to travel to the start of the walk. Newcomers are always welcome – just come along or contact
