QE II Trust Playing Fields Help Required!

The parish council as trustee of the Child Okeford QEII
Playing Fields (the Rec) plan to re-wild a small area of the field to the
South of the lower goal. No beavers or even lynx planned but just a few
more native trees to expand the existing tree line adjacent to the small
stream, some wild flowers and a different mowing regime. The idea
being to benefit both nature and residents who enjoy walking around the
field.
If we produce a decent plan we stand a fair chance of obtaining help to
fund this from the Dorset Tree Project. We would like to invite residents
of the village to help with producing this plan. This could involve just
providing comments or advice or joining a small group to thrash out the
details.
One part of producing a professional looking plan requires access to
computer aided design (CAD). If you have this and especially if you
know how to use it please get in touch.
Once a plan is approved we will need practical help with clearing the
understorey in the existing tree line; planting trees; sowing wild flowers;
making log piles; erecting bird boxes etc.
